Job Summary
Buyer for the Commercial Division responsible for purchasing, inventory management, supplier coordination, and product replenishment to support branch operations and customer demand across Raleigh and Charlotte in a fully onsite distribution environment. Key duties include creating and managing purchase orders, analyzing inventory and replenishment reports to maintain stock levels, monitoring lead times and supplier performance, coordinating replenishment with branch and distribution center teams, building and maintaining vendor relationships, resolving delivery issues and discrepancies, reviewing purchasing data and preparing reports on inventory, spend, and supplier performance, and collaborating with merchandising, operations, and sales teams on product requests and planning. The role requires strong organizational, analytical, detail-oriented, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, inventory management, buying, or supply chain operations
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy
