Job Summary
Buyer – Chilled and Snacking for WHSmith UK Travel: Own and deliver sales and profit targets for your category, curate the optimal customer-focused assortment, lead supplier negotiations and pricing/promotions strategies, develop category plans aligned to wider business strategy, source products and suppliers, drive growth initiatives, contribute to budgeting and forecasting, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver a compelling snacking offer across travel formats. Hybrid working model from home and in-office (London or Swindon), with flexibility and a focus on delivering results.
Required Qualifications
- Previous buying or relevant commercial experience
- Strong commercial acumen with numerical and analytical skills
- Confident negotiation skills and supplier management experience
- Ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders
- Resilience and adaptability in fast-paced environment
- Proactive, solutions-focused mindset
- Strong IT skills, including Excel and PowerPoint
- Collaborative team player with a passion for delivering results
