Job Summary
Ensure all procurement transactions undergo proper due diligence review and documentation before conversion into a purchase order. Execute a purchasing strategy with the Inventory Planning group to guarantee 100% compliance with financial objectives and site manufacturing goals. Collaborate with Quality, Supply Chain, and Materials Science teams while interfacing with suppliers to communicate purchase orders, status, and delivery confirmations. Resolve supplier issues and escalate as needed, ensuring adherence to supply agreement conditions and facilitating information exchange regarding lead times and vendor-specific impacts.
Required Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 1-3 years of related purchasing experience
- Proficiency in MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, and Outlook
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Workable knowledge of ERP systems (SAP/Oracle)
- Ability to run reports and update metrics as needed
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to present data logically and understandably to internal and external audiences
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in the pharma/biotech industry or GMP environment
- CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Chain) certification
