Job Summary
Buyer at Beauty Brands to manage product assortment across multiple beauty categories, own sales and profitability of assigned categories, develop vendor partnerships, and drive category performance. Responsibilities include overseeing inventory, gross margin, and financial adjustments; building merchandise and marketing plans to boost sales with healthy margins; managing vendor relationships across brands; coordinating marketing initiatives for direct mail, online, and social media; staying current on industry trends and pursuing new brands; collaborating with Merchandise and Marketing Teams on corporate initiatives; communicating issues to the field; developing vendor training initiatives; and performing other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Retail buying experience working directly with brands in a multi-channel environment
- Intermediate knowledge of Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUP)
- Working knowledge of Word and PowerPoint
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to stay organized and prioritize effectively and efficiently
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work with all levels of an organization
- Passion for delivering results with strong interpersonal acumen
- Professional behavior and objectivity

- 4-year college degree
- 3+ years of experience in Retail Buying
