Execute purchasing strategies for equipment, materials, and services through the centralized function or for raw materials in manufacturing. Expedite supplier orders to meet production schedules, supervise order preparation, and follow up on delivery and shipment. Check and approve invoices, conduct assessments of customer needs, and review plant demand and resource availability. Work to reduce network raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods inventories while optimizing service and increasing inventory turns. Develop necessary records and files, assess systems for improvement, and improve communication with supply chain partners to ensure materials availability for the production schedule.
