Job Summary
Buyer/Analyst will source and purchase parts, tooling, services, and/or supplies for fleet maintenance, issue and manage purchase orders, coordinate with Maintenance Planning, develop RFPs/bids, review inventory levels, forecast parts requirements, conduct price/cost analysis, negotiate terms, manage repair orders and BER determinations, identify supplier capabilities, file warranty claims, and develop cost reduction strategies. Requires aviation industry knowledge (MRO), supplier management, procurement lifecycle, inventory planning, and strong communication skills to support procurement and cost-saving initiatives in a fast-paced aerospace environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Purchasing/Business/Inventory Management or related areas preferred
- Professional certification (CPIM/APICS) is a plus
- Prior experience in the airline/aviation industry is a necessity
- Prior experience in inventory forecasting and analysis
- Prefer at least four (4) years in a purchasing or procurement role, supply chain analyst, or demand planning role
- Authorized to work in the United States
