Job Summary
Purchase components based on requirements within MRP and expedite, de-expedite, or cancel parts according to production needs. Process Maintenance, Repair, and Operation (MRO) purchases via hand requisitions or internet approval sites. Resolve invoice disputes with suppliers and handle non-conforming parts by returning them for evaluation, rework, or replacement. Gather supplier information to understand assigned supply constraints. Requires a Bachelor's degree in business management or equivalent experience, proficiency in ERP/MRP systems, and strong analytical skills. Located in Alachua, Florida, this role supports the Rotary Drilling Division's procurement for surface mining drill rigs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business management or applicable studies
- Associate's degree
- 3 years of experience in purchasing manufacturing parts
- 4 years' experience in purchasing manufacturing parts
- 5 years' experience in purchasing manufacturing parts
- Equivalent Educational background
- Ability to follow instructions and processes to perform the functions of the job
- Ability to function independently and produce results that meet standards of quality, timeliness, and acceptability with minimal supervision and general direction
- Ability to type 35wpm and 10-key data entry
- Creativity to continuously improve processes
- Fluent in both written and oral English
- Knowledge of ERP or MRP and their applications
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications - Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
