Job Summary
Manage two Distribution Centers inventory and oversee purchasing and timely delivery of products for specialized categories within the Produce Department. Optimize store service levels to 97% or above while negotiating logistical elements to improve cost and efficiency. Forecast weekly product needs and maintain communication with division retail teams and vendors to ensure adequate promotional support. Evaluate supplier offerings against business criteria and conduct periodic product quality checks in the distribution center. Work with the Logistics Coordinator to manage the efficient flow of goods throughout the supply chain.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Supply Chain Certificates
- equivalent experience
- Retail operations management experience
- 2 plus years of Buying Experience
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other Office programs
- Track record of good judgment
- able to achieve results with minimum supervision
