Job Summary
Senior buying role focused on managing supplier relationships, securing materials for manufacturing, and driving cost reductions. Responsibilities include procuring raw materials and services, issuing and managing purchase orders to align with production schedules, monitoring supplier performance on price, quality, and delivery, maintaining optimal inventory levels, and evaluating quotations based on cost and lead time. Requires experience with MRP/ERP systems (Epicor Kinetic preferred) and the ability to develop reports and data-driven recommendations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required or demonstrated equivalent combination of education, training and experience
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment with MRP/ERP, planning, production & inventory control, and sourcing/procurement (Epicor Kinetic preferred)
- Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision making
- Experience with procurement of raw materials, components, and services for manufacturing
- Ability to build reports and analyze data to drive recommendations
