Buyer at ABB’s IEC Low Voltage Division, based in Bangalore, responsible for purchasing materials per technical specs, price, and delivery schedule; initiates Purchase Orders, coordinates with suppliers, tracks performance, ensures deliveries meet standards, and supports inventory control and frame agreements. Requires 3–6 years in direct/indirect procurement and a Full-time Diploma or Engineering in Mechanical or Electrical; SAP Ariba experience and strong stakeholder management are expected.
Required Qualifications
- 3 to 6 years of experience in direct and indirect procurement
- Full time Diploma or Engineering - Mechanical or Electrical
- Ensures SAP Ariba platform is updated as defined in the procedure
- Experience in initiating Purchase Orders and coordinating with suppliers
- Ability to monitor supplier performance and ensure delivery aligned with PO requirements
- Inventory control and frame agreements recommendation
- Understanding of corporate purchasing policies and procedures
- Compliance with ABB values and ethics
