Job Summary
Manage the Interiors commodity deck and source all responsible components using the Total Acquisition Cost Model to meet business case and timing requirements. Support annual SCM direct material cost targets by negotiating commercial agreements, resolving supplier issues, and tracking performance to improve as appropriate. Nominate new suppliers for review and participate in VAVE workshops while developing and maintaining commodity strategies. Act as market specialist for assigned commodities to drive cost savings and cross-functional collaboration. Requires Bachelor's degree, 3+ years of purchasing experience, and ability to manage 20+ suppliers. Travel up to 10%.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or related field
- 3+ years of purchasing experience, preferably within the automotive industry
- Demonstrated ability to manage 20+ suppliers
- Strong ability to multitask and quickly prioritize and re-prioritize tasks
- Demonstrated negotiation experience
- Strong communication skills
- Strong knowledge of Excel
- Familiarity with MRP systems
- Willingness to travel up to 10%
