Job Summary
Procurement professional at Emerson responsible for end-to-end P2P activities, including reviewing requisitions, releasing POs, collaborating with global suppliers, and ensuring material availability aligned with execution plans. Drive risk identification and escalation for on-time delivery, maintain master data and inventory mechanisms, provide updates on open POs and material status, support planning with technical feasibility insights, and work with cross-functional teams to resolve P2P cycle issues. Lead supplier negotiations to optimize lead times and cost efficiency, implement process improvements in procurement operations, participate in audits, and prepare performance reports. Qualifications include a degree in Mechanical or Production Engineering (or equivalent experience), significant procurement/supply chain experience with casting/forging exposure, strong negotiation and communication skills, familiarity with import/outsourcing processes, ability to analyze data and document processes, and proficiency with data-analysis tools. Preferred qualifications include knowledge of foundry processes, global/matrixed experience, exposure to enterprise systems, and demonstrated leadership on improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- A degree in Mechanical, Production Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- Significant experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain, including hands-on exposure to casting or forging categories
- Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes and commercial terms
- Effective negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with import procedures and outsourcing processes
- Experience sourcing fabricated or buyout components
- Ability to document processes and analyze operational data for informed decision-making
- Proficiency in using digital tools for data analysis and reporting
