Buyer - 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

Own supply planning for the Protein and Fresh Produce category, including auditing purchase orders, executing emergency POs, and managing stock-on-hand. Lead weekly, monthly, and quarterly business reviews with key suppliers to track On-Time In-Full metrics and quality issues. Act as the primary operational contact for category product or supplier issues, resolving incidents before they impact production. Balance forecasted demand with supply capacity to maintain optimal inventory while implementing buffer management and SKU rationalization. Assist with cost reporting and resolve invoice discrepancies regarding price or quantity mismatches. Regularly visit production sites to communicate with teams and drive continuous improvement. Investigate major supply chain failures to implement preventative measures and process improvements. This 12-month fixed-term role is based in Chippendale with hybrid working arrangements.
