Job Summary
Meat Cutter/Butcher at Stew Leonard’s Yonkers location performing cutting and preparation of meat products, including trimming to customer specifications, case preparation, rotating and stocking cases, and moving meat from cooler to cutting area. Responsibilities include overseeing equipment safety, maintaining sanitation and health standards, providing excellent customer service, training other team members, and supporting additional duties as needed. Requires 1+ year meat cutting experience, ability to use knives and meat-processing equipment, and a strong customer-service orientation; weekend availability is required.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older
- Minimum 1-year meat cutting experience
- Safely use/operate knives, band saws, grinders, cube steak machine, and meat wrapper
- Great customer service
- Good oral communication skills
- Ability to successfully work on a team
- Flexibility with availability and weekends are a MUST
