Job Summary
Meat Cutter responsible for the expert breakdown, preparation, and presentation of a wide variety of fresh meat products at Plum Market. Cut and prepare meat according to Plum Market standards and Customer preferences; assist in ground meats and value-added offerings; maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment; provide knowledgeable customer service; train and support Team Members in proper cutting and food safety techniques; ensure proper product rotation and restocking of meat cases to keep freshness and availability; contribute to department goals through skillful cutting, efficient production, and team collaboration in the Meat & Seafood department.
Required Qualifications
- Prior experience in meat cutting, including breaking down sub-primals, portioning, and trimming
- Exceptional knife skills and knowledge of cut techniques and yields
- Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and storage standards
- Effective communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Physical ability to stand and walk for up to 4 hours without a break
- Ability to bend, stoop, climb ladders, lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted, and push/pull carts weighing up to 100 lbs. unassisted
