Job Summary
The role of Busser includes assisting servers by delivering orders from the kitchen to guests and ensuring the cleanliness and organization of back of house areas. Key responsibilities involve setting tables, clearing dishes, keeping workstations stocked, and answering guest inquiries about menu items. Candidates are expected to possess strong multitasking capabilities, excellent communication skills, and a customer-oriented approach. Previous experience in a related position and ServSafe certification are preferred. Physical demands include standing, lifting, and carrying trays.
Required Qualifications
- High school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- ServSafe Certified (Food Handler & Alcohol) or TIPS equivalent.
- Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job.
- Meets state age requirements for handling alcoholic beverages.
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Food Runner, Busser or similar entry-level role in a restaurant.
- Strong communication skills.
