Job Summary
Clear all used tableware, napkins, and refuse from tables to the bus station, wiping surfaces and removing debris from surrounding floor areas. Assist wait staff by refilling beverages, accommodating requests for condiments or fresh tableware, and retrieving cleaned dishes from the dish room to distribute to service stations. Maintain a clean, well-stocked bus station and perform duties including running dishes, sweeping, emptying trash, and filling waters. You must be able to identify and explain all dishes on current menus, take customer orders, review bills, and lift items weighing up to 50 pounds. This role supports the classic steakhouse atmosphere at Merrill & Houston's Steak Joint, ensuring every guest leaves with a lasting impression through attentive service and a tidy dining environment.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Work Authorization

- legible handwriting
- ability to work well in a team
- strong customer service and oral communication skills
- ability to lift, carry, deliver and serve from trays weighing up to 50 pounds throughout the work shift
- ability to carry and set up folding table to support particularly heavy orders
- ability to take customer orders, review customer bills and smoothly navigate dining room, kitchen and other facility areas
