Job Summary
Set and reset dining room tables, refill water glasses, and serve bread while maintaining assigned sections and service stations. Restock clean plates, silverware, and glassware; respond to guest needs and deliver take-home items. Bake bread, package items correctly, and thank guests for dining. Communicate reservation details, guest flow, and special event needs to the manager. Complete required training modules and adhere to sanitation, food handling, and safety policies. Work flexible part-time shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Meet state age requirement for the position.
- Must be able to read and communicate in English clearly and effectively.
- Must have professional communication and social skills appropriate for guests.
- Must be self motivated and able to work calmly and effectively under pressure.
- Strong team-work orientation, well organized, able to take direction from others.
- Able to work a flexible, part-time schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Lunch-time serving hours may be required for certain seasons, holidays, or special events.
- Work days and hours vary in accordance with business need.
- Able to stand for 4 or more hours at a time.
- Able to lift and carry 35 pounds on a regular basis and 50 pounds occasionally.
- Able to lift and carry loaded trays and move tables and chairs.
- Physical ability to grasp, stoop, reach, balance, move tables, and perform similar job-related movements.
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Prefer prior restaurant, fine dining, or customer service experience.
- Understanding of dining room service procedures, safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures preferred.
