Job Summary
Busperson (Ayudante de Mesero/a) assists Food Servers to help deliver a complete dining experience in a fine dining resort setting. Responsibilities include maintaining clean and organized workstations, managing par stocks of china, glass, linen napkins, and paper supplies, keeping water glasses and coffee mugs filled at guest tables, clearing and resetting tables promptly, and maintaining the storeroom and stock rotation. The role supports leadership in daily service operations and requires a friendly, professional, team-oriented demeanor with the ability to handle stress. Weekend and holiday availability is required. Certifications include San Diego County Food Handler certification (training provided by Evans Hotels) and RBS certification. Physical requirements include standing, kneeling, squatting for extended periods, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- 6-12 months of relevant experience and/or training
- Previous similar position in a hotel or similar business entity preferred
- Must attain a valid San Diego County Food Handler certification upon hire (training provided)
- RBS certification required
- Ability to stand, kneel, squat for prolonged periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Availability to work on weekends and holidays
