Job Summary
Analyze workflows, labor utilization, and equipment performance to identify bottlenecks and lead Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives. Measure key performance indicators including labor productivity, Overall Equipment Effectiveness, and throughput while developing dashboards to track trends. Conduct time studies, optimize staffing models, and support 5S programs to improve plant layouts and material flow. Evaluate automation opportunities and collaborate with engineering teams on digital transformation initiatives using MES and ERP systems. Lead cross-functional projects, develop business cases, and present results to leadership on a monthly cadence. Travel 60-75% of the time. Report to Director of Operations to deliver budgeted productivity gains across manufacturing and distribution functions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Management, or a related technical field
- 5-10+ years of experience in manufacturing, operations, process improvement, or industrial engineering
- Travel 60-75%
Desired Qualifications
- Experience leading continuous improvement initiatives
- Direct experience in extrusion blow molding
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt
- Certified Manufacturing Engineer (CMfgE)
