Job Summary
Senior-level Business Unit Leader responsible for guiding growth, fostering a safety-focused, high-excellence culture, leading cross-functional teams, managing talent development, and ensuring on-time renewals and favorable contract pricing. Key duties include coaching high-performing teams, strengthening customer relationships, overseeing recruiting with Talent Acquisition, leveraging CRM and bid-review processes for business development, and overseeing project planning, budgeting, and service delivery to meet or exceed customer expectations. Required experience includes 10+ years in building services operations or related leadership roles and a strong background in HVAC/electrical/plumbing systems, regulatory compliance (OSHA/NFPA/ASHRAE), and lifecycle cost management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field (preferred)
- 10+ years’ experience in building services operations, maintenance management, or service-based project sales, including leadership experience
- 15+ years of relevant experience without a degree
- 10 years of in-depth experience with building systems (e.g., HVAC, electrical, plumbing) including lifecycle cost management, maintenance planning, and performance optimization
- Deep understanding of industry standards, compliance regulations (e.g., OSHA, NFPA, ASHRAE)
- Advanced knowledge of building systems performance, service delivery models, budgeting, and facility project oversight
- Ability to apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize performance
