Job Summary
Drive corporate and transient business to the Kimpton Cottonwood Hotel by growing existing accounts and developing new local market opportunities. Manage corporate accounts, including RFPs, negotiated rates, and account production, while navigating the full group sales cycle from lead qualification to contracting. Prospect, develop relationships, and negotiate across multiple segments, utilizing proficiency in sales tools like CVENT or Delphi/FDC. Maintain strong business acumen regarding occupancy, ADR, and RevPAR to support overall revenue strategy. Participate in networking events, client entertainment, and occasional travel as part of a fast-paced, collaborative team redefining hospitality in Omaha's Blackstone District.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of hotel sales experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant hospitality experience
- Demonstrated ability to prospect, develop relationships, negotiate, and convert new business across multiple market segments
- Understanding of the group sales cycle, including lead qualification, proposals, site inspections, negotiations, contracting, and turnover to operations/events
- Experience managing corporate accounts, including RFPs, negotiated rates, account production, and preferred hotel programs
- Strong negotiation, presentation, communication, organization, and time-management skills
- Strong business acumen with the ability to understand occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, group pace, need periods, and overall revenue strategy
- Confident, professional, proactive, and entrepreneurial, with a strong desire to hunt for new business while growing existing accounts
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative boutique/lifestyle hotel environment
- Willingness to participate in networking events, client entertainment, industry functions, sales trips, and occasional travel

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
