Job Summary
Install customer service drops or outlets in residential and business properties while troubleshooting reception performance issues and resolving problems from customer equipment to the first distribution amplifier. Use electronic test equipment and online diagnostic tools to ensure proper upstream and downstream signal levels at each termination, and proactively suggest service upgrades while educating customers on their new or existing equipment. Take on complex processes involving EPON, fiber, switches, Ethernet, and WiFi access points to safely complete requests within efficient timeframes. Work in small, confined areas, on ladders, and in all weather conditions while maintaining a valid driver's license and a good driving record.
Required Qualifications
- A good driving record
- A valid driver's license in the state you are applying
- Aptitude and ability to learn to use RF, digital and Volt-Ohm meters and other related equipment to interpret data and use information to solve problems and determine optimal signal routing
- Flexibility to go above and beyond for our customers by working overtime and on-call as needed
- Problem solving skills when working with our customers
- Ability to listen to customers and present solutions in a positive manner
- Ability to successfully work in small and confined areas
- Ability to lift to 80 lbs
- Ability to work on a ladder
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
- Demonstrated at least 3 months of customer service or related experience and/or training
- High school diploma or GED
- Regular and predictable attendance
