Business Systems Architect (m/f/d)

Job Summary
Own and evolve the enterprise architecture across business capabilities, processes, data, and applications, including ERP/Odoo implementations; configure, customize, and extend Odoo modules with Python; map, document, and improve business processes spanning sales, procurement, inventory, production, and finance; ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with ISO 27001, ISO 9001, and export-control requirements; identify when specialized systems (PLM, MES) are needed and guide modernization while maintaining a lean digital thread; identify and implement AI and automation opportunities from Odoo and third-party tools to reduce manual work; collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable workflows; stay current with AI/automation technologies and bring ideas to the table; hybrid work arrangement in Munich, Germany; 3–5 years ERP experience with hands-on Odoo experience strongly preferred; strong Python development and OWL framework familiarity; effective communicator in English (German a plus)
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience with ERP systems, with hands-on Odoo experience strongly preferred
- Solid Python development skills
- Familiarity with OWL framework for Odoo customization
- Experience mapping, documenting, and improving business processes across sales, procurement, inventory, production, and finance
- Experience building and maintaining integrations between business systems via APIs, middleware, or native connectors
- Familiarity with AI/ML tools and workflow automation platforms (e.g., n8n, Make, Zapier)
- Awareness of ISO 27001, ISO 9001, and export control compliance in a systems context
- Clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders; English fluency; German a plus
- Background in manufacturing, engineering, or hardware-building environment is a strong plus
- Ability to translate business needs into scalable workflows and drive system architecture across the landscape
