Business Systems Analyst

Job Summary
Determine requirements and transform them into system specifications by working with technical teams and business stakeholders. Facilitate process workshops to gather functional needs, map as-is and to-be processes, and specify changes or new workflows. Translate between business and technical demands while creating, executing, and reviewing test plans with the QA team. Support business cases and project proposals, follow up on action items from meetings, and coach new colleagues on requirements. Analyze defects, organize training sessions with the L&D team, and resolve crisis situations for clients. This six-month remote contract with the Financial Services industry national practice requires five years of BSA experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency in Visio, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
Required Qualifications
- minimum 5 years' experience as a Business Systems Analyst within the IT industry
- College or University Degree or equivalent practical experience
- excellent written and verbal communication in English
- ability to clearly communicate with business and technical stakeholders
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Experience with Visio, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
- Demonstrated ability to support multiple projects concurrently, balancing deliverables and ability to prioritize deliverables across projects
- Excellent problem-solving skills, creativity, and insight with the ability to resolve crisis situations with clients
- Strong interpersonal, and business presentation skills
- Comfortable in front of a technical or managerial audience
Desired Qualifications
- Business Systems Analyst should ideally have experience with Agile methodology
- D365 experience
- Experience with back office systems used for accounts receivables and general ledger (Sage)
- Experience with solutions used in the financial advisory and tax service business
- Managing project using DevOps
- Service Now experience
- Product Owner or Scrum Master experience
