Job Summary
The role involves facilitating requirements gathering, documenting current and target state processes, and producing functional design specifications for EMPRS and related Navy RAMS programs. You will analyze business or systems processes, map and evaluate use cases, SOPs, CONOPS, and business rules, and provide recommendations for process improvements. You’ll collaborate with end-users, management, vendors, and IT staff, and develop solutions with COTS applications (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Momentum). Expect to implement technical initiatives, design interfaces/workflows, and adjust systems to improve effectiveness. A SECRET clearance is required, along with a Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of related experience; familiarity with Navy personnel data and documentation such as FRD/POA&M/test plans, and experience using TFS for issue tracking are important. The position is based in Millington, TN with up to 10% travel.
Required Qualifications
- Active SECRET security clearance
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3+ years of related work experience
- Knowledge of Navy Personnel data and business rules
- Ability to write Functional Requirements Documents (FRD), Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M), and test plans/acceptance criteria
- Ability to work as a team member with Government and contracted workforce
- Working knowledge of Team Foundation Server (TFS) for tracking application bugs/issues
