Job Summary
Business Support Stores Supervisor responsible for leading indirect materials operations at client facility in Pontiac and Lake Orion, MI. Oversee warehouse operations, inventory management, dock receiving, shipping, and material movement; supervise a team, manage attendance and payroll inputs, review cycle counts, generate EOS reports, and maintain inventory accuracy. Coordinate with IML, UAW, MRP and WMS/ERP systems, conduct audits, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Required strong supervisory experience in warehouse/materials management, proficiency with WMS/MRP systems, knowledge of shipping/receiving procedures and documentation, and the ability to facilitate meetings and manage stakeholder relationships. Shift is Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent with 3+ years of supervisory experience in warehouse/materials management operations
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in indirect materials or MRO inventory management
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management software, and MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems
- Proven ability to supervise and develop team members with strong verbal and written communication skills and experience conducting performance reviews
- Knowledge of shipping/receiving procedures, documentation, barcode scanning systems, inventory control principles, cycle counting, and purchase order management
- Understanding of dock operations, non-conformance processes, quality control procedures, and supplier coordination
- Ability to facilitate meetings, present information clearly, and manage stakeholder relationships effectively
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, or related field (preferred)
- Experience with union workforce management and certification in inventory management (APICS, CPIM) or supply chain management (preferred)
- Experience with SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems (preferred)
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and OSHA compliance (preferred)
- Experience in automotive, aerospace, or heavy manufacturing environments (preferred)
- Experience managing teams of 10+ employees (preferred)
- Contract logistics, vendor management (preferred)
