Job Summary
Detail-oriented Research Analyst to maintain and enrich JLL’s proprietary commercial real estate databases for APAC (REIS). Responsibilities include preparing standardized templates for data input, reviewing submissions for accuracy, developing and maintaining Python scripts to automate data validation and workflow processes, monitoring data integrity via dashboards, and collaborating with regional/local teams and the Global Data Hub on recurring and ad hoc data initiatives. Strong Excel (advanced formulas), SQL knowledge, and Python/VBA scripting skills are required; experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server) and tools like Jupyter Notebook is preferred. Excellent written/spoken English, organizational and interpersonal abilities, and a detail-oriented mindset are essential. Location: On-site in Dalian, China.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Finance, Mathematics, Economics, Business Analytics, or a related field—or equivalent practical experience in data research or analytics
- Candidates with 1–2 years of experience managing structured datasets under tight deadlines are strongly preferred; real estate data experience is a plus
- Fluent English proficiency (both written and spoken) sufficient for day-to-day collaboration
- Ability to independently run, debug, and make minor adjustments to existing Python or VBA
- High sensitivity to data quality, with a consistent commitment to accuracy and completeness
- Prior exposure to commercial real estate data is advantageous
