Job Summary
Lead safety initiatives on construction projects by conducting safety review meetings with project and design teams, ensuring high-risk activities have proper safety work method statements (SWMS), performing site inspections and risk reporting, and coordinating with project and operations managers to maintain a safe, compliant workplace. Promote safety awareness through sharing best practices, mentoring safety officers and nonsafety professionals, and educating stakeholders. Requires an HSE background with at least 10 years of experience and a safety license, plus strong communication and relationship-building skills to align with business needs and regulatory standards.
Required Qualifications
- At least 10 years of experience in health, safety and environmental (HSE) for construction projects
- Safety license holder with proven track record in providing safety trainings
- Proficiency in project safety systems, processes, tools and best practices
- Strong written and spoken communication skills; ability to build and mentor teams
