Job Summary
The Business Support Assistant for the Interventional and Neuro Interventional Radiology clinic coordinates patient appointments and cross-references provider calendars, manages communications, ensures accurate EMR documentation and data entry, processes referrals with required clinic documentation, imaging, and labs, facilitates insurance verification and authorizations, and tracks follow-up patient care. Schedule is Monday-Thursday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM and Friday 7:00 AM–3:30 PM. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and two or more years of related administrative experience; Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card for certain Banner facilities; strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills; and proficiency with standard office software to support administrative and clinical operations in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Required Qualifications
- Requires a high school diploma or equivalent education and two or more years administrative work experience in a related area.
- Employees working at Banner Behavioral Health Hospital must possess an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card at the time of hire and maintain the card for the duration of their employment.
- Must have the ability to work effectively with common office software, including spreadsheets and word processing.
- Must have excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills to effectively interact with departmental personnel, assist customers with inquiries, schedule meetings and appointments, as well as, provide assistance with incoming telephone calls and walk-ins.
