Job Summary
Maintain awareness of customer needs and industry trends to translate them into measurable specifications and test methods for product development and manufacturing. Support successful new product introduction scale-up and launch by performing capability assessments, cost estimates, and driving process improvements using Lean, Six Sigma, and value stream tools. Provide manufacturing technical support for local and global operations by driving critical projects focused on cost, product yield, and customer quality. Collaborate with innovative teams worldwide to recommend new equipment and modifications that support cost improvements and new product introductions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a science or engineering discipline (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
- Three (3) years of combined experience in manufacturing, product or process development in a private, public, government or military environment
- Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status)
- All US-based 3M full time employees will need to sign an employee agreement as a condition of employment with 3M

Desired Qualifications
- Technical experience in polymer film extrusion, web handling, microreplication, clean coating, lamination, slitting, rotary die converting, and/or punch press converting
- Six Sigma Green Belt Certification
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience utilizing statistical tools in problem solving
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience on working in a manufacturing environment
- Minimum of three (3) years on New Product Development and Commercialization Teams
- 3 years' experience working with or manufacturing products designed for the Health Care field
