Business Services Support Officer - Payroll/Finance Officer

Job Summary

Process payroll accurately and in a timely manner, including employee setup, leave, superannuation, reconciliations, and Single Touch Payroll reporting. Respond to payroll enquiries and support compliance with legislation, Awards, and organisational procedures. Support accounts payable and receivable functions, invoice processing, bank transactions, reconciliations, and general ledger activities. Assist with month-end and year-end financial administration, maintain accurate business systems across Employment Hero and SharePoint, and coordinate asset register administration. Provide practical administrative support including meetings, minutes, registers, document management, and business reporting. Work closely with Business Services, Human Resources, and Finance teams to ensure continuity during peak periods. Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes, and service delivery across the organisation. This hybrid role on the Sunshine Coast offers competitive hourly rates of $40–$45 plus super and allowances.

Required Qualifications

  • Certificate IV or higher in Business, Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
  • At least five years' experience in payroll processing and finance administration
  • Hands-on experience processing payroll in Employment Hero, including payroll reconciliations
  • Experience with Single Touch Payroll and sound knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, Modern Awards and the National Employment Standards
  • Experience supporting accounts payable, accounts receivable and financial reconciliations
  • Confidence using Xero, Dext, Budgetly, ProWorkflow or comparable integrated business systems
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, with the ability to analyse and present data
  • Strong organisation, communication and customer service skills, along with a high level of attention to detail, integrity and discretion when handling confidential information
  • The ability to work autonomously and stay connected in a hybrid environment
  • A current Class C Driver's Licence and ability to obtain a National Criminal History Check

Desired Qualifications
