Job Summary
The Business Services Professional role focuses on partnering with local employers to meet talent needs by sourcing and screening candidates, coordinating hiring events, and collaborating with Career Planners to place qualified candidates. Responsibilities include advocating for customers to access community services, tracking attendance and activity to ensure funding requirements are met, leveraging labor-market information to connect job seekers with opportunities, and building strategic employer relationships to promote Gesher employment-related services (e.g., posting jobs, trainings, and on-the-job training opportunities). The role requires strong outreach, networking, workshop delivery, and report-generation skills, with a Bachelor’s degree in a related field (preferably marketing/sales, business administration, or HR development) and 2+ years in sales, recruiting, or job development. BSP certification is strongly preferred. Non-exempt status with overtime eligibility.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing/Sales, Business Administration, Human Resource Development, or related field strongly preferred
- BSP Certified strongly preferred
- At least two years of experience in sales, recruiting, job placement and/or job development
- Good interpersonal skills for communication with job seekers, employers, staff, and the public
- Ability to establish and maintain ongoing relationships with business owners and their representatives
- Composition skills sufficient to prepare required reports
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency using MS Excel and web-based databases
