Job Summary
Initiate and maintain personal contacts with business representatives and job agencies to develop relationships and successfully place participants into jobs. Conduct cold calls to potential employers, explain employment support services and On the Job Training activities, and research resources for job leads. Match job skills with applicant qualifications, collect data from employers, and coordinate attendance at job fairs and community meetings. Instruct participants on resume writing and interview preparation while providing labor market information and workshops. Work closely with Career Planners and program managers to assess adults and youth for work experience and training opportunities. Requires a Bachelor's degree, two years in sales or workforce development, and a valid driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent
- Minimum of two years' experience in business-to-business sales, staffing, recruiting, or workforce development
- Previous experience in workforce development
- high degree of proficiency in data entry
- proficiency in Microsoft Office
- proficiency in state appropriate state data entry systems
- knowledge of Workforce Programs and applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations
- excellent verbal and written communication skills
- demonstrated Extreme Customer Service skills
- valid driver's license
- adequate vehicle insurance coverage
Desired Qualifications
- Prefer Minimum of two years' experience in business-to-business sales, staffing, recruiting, or workforce development
- Previous experience in workforce development
