Job Summary

Lead business services operations across CIMMYT India and BISA India by coordinating field stations, offices, and warehouses to ensure alignment with institutional policies and compliance standards. Oversee inventory and warehouse management for seed, agrochemicals, and harvested produce while supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 implementation and inter-station logistics. Manage the institutional fleet, travel arrangements, and facilities including guest houses and infrastructure maintenance across multiple locations. Supervise Operations Associates and Procurement Analysts to foster operational discipline and continuous improvement. Maintain audit-ready records, monitor performance indicators, and escalate compliance risks to the RBSM – Asia. Based in New Delhi with frequent travel to research stations; requires 12–15 years of experience in multi-location operations within agricultural or international organization settings.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, Hospitality Management, Agricultural Business Management, or a related discipline
  • At least 12 - 15 years of progressively responsible experience in operations, business services, warehouse management, procurement, logistics, or related support functions
  • Proven experience managing multi-location operations, ideally in agricultural, research, development, or international organisation settings
  • Hands-on knowledge of inventory and warehouse management, procurement and logistics coordination, internal controls, and operational governance
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, with preference for Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365)
  • Practical understanding of agricultural operations and seasonality, agrochemical handling and storage, seed systems, and farm operations
  • Experience managing fleet operations, institutional travel coordination, and facilities or estate management across multiple locations
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently to field stations and operational locations within India
  • Strong coordination, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Working knowledge of Hindi
  • Legal right to work in the duty station country at the time of application

  • Experience in international organisations, the CGIAR system, NGOs, or research institutions
