Job Summary
Develop business relationships with local employers and assist Workforce Center customers in identifying appropriate tools and resources matching their employment needs. Engage employers to create employment pipelines, recommend employment strategies, and provide labor market trends, employment law information, and details on work-based training programs and tax incentives. Assist employers in developing quality WorkInTexas job postings, perform data entry, screening, and audit verification within the WorkInTexas system, and provide technical assistance to employers using the platform. Coordinate with staff to match qualified job seekers to postings, participate in job fairs and workshops, and deliver presentations to employer groups. Cultivate contacts with in-demand industries and handle media inquiries while adapting to changing productively.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (preferred)
- minimum three years of work experience in sales, recruitment, employment services, business services, marketing, outreach, and interviewing techniques
- minimum of 60 college credit hours
- five years of full-time qualifying work experience
- excellent oral and written communication skills
- own transportation to use in the performance of duties
- Maintaining a professional appearance and attire
- A valid Texas motor vehicle operator's license
- reliable means of transportation
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate both verbally and in written form to express and exchange ideas
- Must be able to access all components of work station and other office equipment
- Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in generating new accounts and maintaining accounts in both private and public sectors
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
