Job Summary
Senior Business Relationship Manager Acquisition (VP) role focused on acquiring and managing a portfolio of large business clients (>$3M in annual revenue), delivering customized business banking solutions, deposits and cash management, and credit opportunities up to $15M. The BRM will build and deepen relationships through in-person/virtual calls, leverage internal partners (Private Bank, Wealth Management, Middle Market) and cross-functional teams to onboard clients, manage risk, and drive growth. Key responsibilities include portfolio development (40–50 clients, ~60 prospects), prospecting for new clients, leveraging referral networks, and providing tailored financial advice while maintaining regulatory compliance. Requires strong networking, negotiation, and communication skills, plus knowledge of business banking products and underwriting; Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and 5+ years relevant experience are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Business Banking Relationship Management role or related business lending experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field, or equivalent work experience
- Strong knowledge of deposit and cash management products and services
- Knowledge of business credit underwriting and regulatory awareness
- Strong relationship-building and excellent communication skills with individuals at all levels
- Demonstrates strong tactical business development and negotiation skills
