Job Summary
Business Relationship Manager I (BRM) in Business Banking manages a portfolio of 70–90 business clients with annual revenue of $1–$5 million per assigned branch, delivering deposits, cash management solutions, and credit opportunities up to about $500,000. The role focuses on providing customized banking solutions, delivering an outstanding client experience, and collaborating with partners across lines of business to meet clients’ financial needs while adhering to risk management and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include regular in-person calls with prospects, COIs, and existing clients at their place of business; pursuing new business opportunities; aligning client goals with services from Chase Wealth Management, Home Lending, and Branch Teams; and supporting branches through effective relationship development and risk-conscious practices.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a Business Banking Relationship Management role or related business lending experience
- General business experience and knowledge of business credit, understanding of core business products and services with understanding of general business practices and how business needs vary by industry/market
- Strong communication skills with individuals at all levels, internally and externally with the ability to build relationships with clients and internal partners
- Balance needs of clients with associated risks and interests of the firm and recognize an issue or problem and determine when to escalate or handle independently
- Determine and balance priorities on a daily basis to achieve business objectives with demonstrated ability to own problems on clients’ behalf and follow through with commitment
- Highly proficient in MS Office tools including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
