Job Summary
Business Relationship Manager I (BRM I) in Business Banking at Chase manages a portfolio of 100–130 business clients with annual revenue of $1–$5 million, providing tailored banking solutions, education, and advice. Responsibilities include delivering financial solutions and risk-managed services, identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, conducting in-person calls at client sites, collaborating with partners across lines of business, and maintaining client profitability through a disciplined relationship development process. Required capabilities include experience in business banking or related lending, knowledge of business credit and products, strong communication across all levels, risk assessment and escalation, prioritization, MS Office proficiency, and a Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field (or equivalent work experience). The role is located in Houston, TX, and involves in-person client engagement and branch support.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a Business Banking Relationship Management role or related business lending experience
- General business experience and knowledge of business credit, understanding of core business products and services with understanding of general business practices and how business needs vary by industry/market
- Strong communication skills with individuals at all levels, internally and externally with the ability to build relationships with clients and internal partners
- Balance needs of clients with associated risks and interests of the firm and recognize an issue or problem and determine when to escalate or handle independently
- Determine and balance priorities on a daily basis to achieve business objectives with demonstrated ability to own problems on clients’ behalf and follow through with commitment
- Highly proficient in MS Office tools including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field or equivalent work experience
- Strong current business network
