Job Summary
Business Relationship Manager I (BRM) in Business Banking, responsible for acquiring, managing, and retaining a portfolio of 100-130 business clients with $1-5M in annual revenue across assigned branches. Deliver tailored banking solutions—deposits, cash management, and credit opportunities up to ~$500,000—while focusing on client experience and risk management. Build relationships through in-person calls with prospects, COIs, and clients, collaborate with partners across lines of business to connect clients with specialists, and identify new business opportunities to foster primary banking relationships. Ensure regulatory compliance and risk controls, and support branch leadership. Strong communication, relationship-building, and proficiency with MS Office tools are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a Business Banking Relationship Management role or related business lending experience
- General business experience and knowledge of business credit, understanding of core business products and services with understanding of general business practices and how business needs vary by industry/market
- Strong communication skills with individuals at all levels, internally and externally with the ability to build relationships with clients and internal partners
- Balance needs of clients with associated risks and interests of the firm and recognize an issue or problem and determine when to escalate or handle independently
- Determine and balance priorities on a daily basis to achieve business objectives with demonstrated ability to own problems on clients’ behalf and follow through with commitment
- Highly proficient in MS Office tools including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field or equivalent work experience
- Strong current business network
