Job Summary
Business Relationship Manager I (BRM I) in Business Banking manages a portfolio of 100-130 business clients with annual revenue of $1-$5 million, delivering tailored financial solutions, deposits, cash management, and credit opportunities up to approximately $500,000. The role emphasizes in-person client engagement, relationship development, risk management, cross-functional collaboration across lines of business, and adherence to regulatory requirements to drive portfolio profitability. Effective communication, client-focused service, and proactive collaboration with partners are essential to identify solutions that meet client needs and support branch objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a Business Banking Relationship Management role or related business lending experience
- General business experience and knowledge of business credit, understanding of core business products and services with understanding of general business practices and how business needs vary by industry/market
- Strong communication skills with individuals at all levels, internally and externally with the ability to build relationships with clients and internal partners
- Balance needs of clients with associated risks and interests of the firm and recognize an issue or problem and determine when to escalate or handle independently
- Determine and balance priorities on a daily basis to achieve business objectives with demonstrated ability to own problems on clients’ behalf and follow through with commitment
- Highly proficient in MS Office tools including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field or equivalent work experience
- Strong current business network
