Job Summary
Business Relationship Manager I (Officer) in Business Banking focused on growing and managing a portfolio of 100–130 business clients with $1–$5 million in annual revenue. Deliver tailored banking solutions—including business deposit and cash management—while leveraging knowledge of business, finance, banking, credit, and risk management to identify and promote profitable solutions. Regular in-person client visits to prospects, COIs, and existing clients, building long-term banking relationships across lines of business, and collaborating with partners to meet client financial goals. Maintain risk controls and regulatory adherence, support branch objectives, and drive client satisfaction through proactive relationship development.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a Business Banking Relationship Management role or related business lending experience
- General business experience and knowledge of business credit, understanding of core business products and services with understanding of general business practices and how business needs vary by industry/market
- Strong communication skills with individuals at all levels, internally and externally with the ability to build relationships with clients and internal partners
- Balance needs of clients with associated risks and interests of the firm and recognize an issue or problem and determine when to escalate or handle independently
- Determine and balance priorities on a daily basis to achieve business objectives with demonstrated ability to own problems on clients’ behalf and follow through with commitment
- Highly proficient in MS Office tools including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field or equivalent work experience
- Strong current business network
