Job Summary
Business Relationship Manager I manages a portfolio of 70–90 business clients with annual revenue of $1–$5 million for assigned branches, delivering tailored business banking solutions including deposits, cash management, and credit opportunities up to approximately $500,000. The role emphasizes providing customized financial guidance to support clients’ needs, cultivating long-term banking relationships, and collaborating with partners across Chase lines of business to connect clients with specialists. Regular in-person client visits and a disciplined relationship-development process are required, with a focus on risk management and regulatory compliance to protect the firm.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a Business Banking Relationship Management role or related business lending experience
- General business experience and knowledge of business credit, understanding of core business products and services with understanding of general business practices and how business needs vary by industry/market
- Strong communication skills with individuals at all levels, internally and externally with the ability to build relationships with clients and internal partners
- Balance needs of clients with associated risks and interests of the firm and recognize an issue or problem and determine when to escalate or handle independently
- Determine and balance priorities on a daily basis to achieve business objectives with demonstrated ability to own problems on clients’ behalf and follow through with commitment
- Highly proficient in MS Office tools including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field or equivalent work experience
