Job Summary
Business Relationship Manager in the Connecticut area (AVP level) responsible for proactively sourcing, acquiring, expanding, and retaining customer relationships by maximizing sales opportunities, growing a book of business, and delivering world-class client experience. Serves as SME on Deposit, Credit, and Cash Management products; lead cross-branch collaboration with Wealth Management, Mortgage, Consumer, and other area partners; drive referral opportunities, educate clients on suitable products, manage credit requests up to $250K (and support larger relationships with Sr. Business Bankers), develop and execute integrated sales plans to achieve scorecard metrics, and ensure compliance with internal policies and risk controls. Requires mortgage loan originator registration, ability to manage a portfolio, and strong credit/financial analysis and business development skills; Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is expected.
Required Qualifications
- 5-8 years of experience in banking or related field
- 2-5 years banking experience or 2-3 years in Business Banking preferred
- Exceptional consulting skills to probe, listen, clarify and present information to advance sales transactions
- Strong analytical skills and ability to assimilate complex financial and company operating information
- Professional presentation skills
- Strong working knowledge of credit structuring and processing; credit training preferred
- Excellent business development and client relationship management skills
- Registration as a mortgage loan originator with NMLS and ability to obtain/maintain unique identifier as required by SAFE Act regulations
