Job Summary
Business Relationship Manager I position focusing on building and managing a portfolio of 70–90 business clients with annual revenue of $1–$5 million, delivering tailored financial solutions, deposits, cash management, and credit opportunities up to approximately $500,000. Regular in-person calls at client sites, collaboration with partners across Chase lines (Wealth Management, Home Lending, Branch Teams), and a disciplined relationship-development process to identify growth opportunities while ensuring risk management and profitability. The role requires strong communication, financial services knowledge, and ability to balance client needs with firm risk, plus proficiency with MS Office tools. Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field or equivalent work experience, and a strong business network.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a Business Banking Relationship Management role or related business lending experience
- General business experience and knowledge of business credit, understanding of core business products and services with understanding of general business practices and how business needs vary by industry/market
- Strong communication skills with individuals at all levels, internally and externally with the ability to build relationships with clients and internal partners
- Balance needs of clients with associated risks and interests of the firm and recognize an issue or problem and determine when to escalate or handle independently
- Determine and balance priorities on a daily basis to achieve business objectives with demonstrated ability to own problems on clients’ behalf and follow through with commitment
- Highly proficient in MS Office tools including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
