Job Summary
Lead R&D and performance optimization of oil-paper insulation and solid dielectrics for power transformers; conduct professional dielectric tests including dielectric loss, partial discharge, insulation withstand voltage, oil-paper aging tests, and dielectric response measurement; research insulation failure mechanisms, analyze root causes of insulation defects, and propose solutions to improve insulation system reliability; establish dielectric test platforms and formulate standardized procedures in accordance with IEC, IEEE and GB standards; provide technical support to factories during customer projects (design clarification, simulation, dielectric and PD failure investigations); monitor global dielectric technologies and promote new insulation materials and processes for power transformers; collaborate with Hitachi Energy’s research teams, technology centers, and universities; ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations and guidelines; embrace Hitachi Energy’s values of safety and integrity.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree or above in Electrical Engineering, High Voltage and Insulation Technology, Material Science (Insulation Material Major) or related fields
- Minimum 5 years of working experience in dielectric R&D, testing or evaluation for power transformers
- Proficient in oil-paper insulation system technology
- Solid expertise in dielectric characteristic test, partial discharge detection, insulation aging test and dielectric loss measurement
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
