Job Summary
Lead CFD-driven thermo-fluid analyses for transformers and reactors; develop analytical tools and CFD automations; propose and provide technical solutions and validation campaigns; create and maintain technical standards for thermo-mechanical performance; collaborate with GLOMUS and other simulation teams to deliver multi-physics CFD methodologies; conduct experimental campaigns to validate models; support factories with technical challenges and facilitate transfer of knowledge; ensure compliance with external/internal regulations; travel for collaboration and knowledge sharing; strong hands-on CFD experience with industry-standard tools; programming/scripting for model development and automation; familiarity with FSI and multiphysics coupling; English proficiency and willingness to work in international R&D environments.
Required Qualifications
- PhD or MSc in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or a closely related field with a strong focus on heat transfer, fluid mechanics, and thermodynamics
- Strong hands-on experience in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and thermo-mechanical simulations
- Experience with industry-standard tools (ANSYS CFX/FLUENT, OpenFOAM, COMSOL, StarCCM+)
- Programming/scripting skills (MATLAB, Python, Visual Basic)
- Ability to develop custom thermal/thermal-hydraulic solvers and data-driven model enhancements
- Understanding of Fluid–Structure Interaction (FSI) in thermally induced stresses and deformation
- Experience coupling thermal, hydraulic, and mechanical domains in Multiphysics simulations
- Excellent communication and collaboration in international teams
- Willingness to travel and English language proficiency
