Job Summary
Senior Business Project Manager role responsible for leading highly complex departmental and cross-department projects from initiation through completion. Defines objectives with management, develops project plans, allocates staff and budgets, leads team execution, and manages scope, risk, cost, and schedule. Provides independent analysis to identify problems and options, builds deliverables, tracks progress with metrics, and presents communications to stakeholders. Acts as SME to implement new processes/systems that realize efficiencies and cost savings for the division. Requires strong collaboration with business partners, vendors, and cross-functional teams, and a proven ability to influence decisions and deliver results within approved methodologies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree with emphasis in Business, Project Management or related field preferred OR significant directly-related work experience beyond minimum requirements
- Minimum 5 years experience in processes and project management including analysis, documentation
- Ability to work with general direction to scope, plan and manage cross-department or multi-department projects
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage large and highly complex assignments
- Written and oral communications skills with ability to build rapport within company, field and/or outside vendors
- High degree of personal initiative and motivation
- Experience with project methodology through project life cycle phases
- PMI certification preferred
