Job Summary
Lead and implement engineering process improvements across multiple engineering disciplines, establishing KPIs and metrics, standardizing workflows, and promoting best practices. Drive cross-functional collaboration with training teams, facilitate data-driven decision making, and champion a culture of continuous improvement and engineering excellence. The role involves collaborating with stakeholders to design and execute learning initiatives, leveraging tools like Jira, Confluence, SYSML/UML, and PowerBI, and supporting both in-office and remote teams with a preference for East Coast locations. The position requires travel to Saab sites (approximately 25-50%) and offers relocation support. Candidate must have a strong background in systems engineering, process improvement, and data reporting, with at least 12 years of experience and 2+ years in process improvement, and possess a U.S. citizenship.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field
- 12+ years engineering experience
- At least 2 years focused on process improvement, operational excellence, or engineering excellence
- Strong knowledge of systems engineering and systems thinking; system development lifecycles
- Proven experience establishing metrics/KPI frameworks, data collection and reporting for engineering data
- Exceptional communication, facilitation, and organizational skills
- Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Requirements Management applications, SYSML/UML (Cameo/MagicDraw preferred), PowerBI
- Six Sigma Black Belt Certification (desirable)
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Ability to travel 25-50%
