Job Summary
A senior-level, finance-focused role within Rakuten Mobile’s Business Planning team. Responsible for establishing, implementing, and enhancing budget, actuals, and forecast management; delivering deep performance insights through management reports; acting as a financial business partner for multiple units; and leading ad-hoc projects (e.g., business transfers, productivity improvements, governance initiatives) across Rakuten Mobile and the broader Rakuten Group. Requires extensive experience in accounting, financial analysis, and financial projection modeling, plus strong cross-functional collaboration with domestic and international subsidiaries. Must be fluent in Japanese and English.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in highly quantitative financial roles
- Thorough understanding of accounting, financial statement analysis, and financial projection modeling
- Strong project management skills with a track record of managing multiple, complex projects
- Exceptional verbal and written communication to articulate complex financial data clearly
- Proactive, strategic thinker with ability to drive change and build relationships at multiple levels
- Fluent in Japanese and native-level English (spoken and written)
